This version really brings me back to my childhood. That innocent time. Friends. Going out into the woods with them, swimming in the lake. Mom is for some reason annoyed by this, she brings you home and washes you in the bath. Her hands feel smoother than any material or any hands of any girl that told you she loved you. You are sitting in your father’s armchair covered in blanket. Tv plays some movie like Star Wars or Pirates of the Caribbeans. You can smell the scent of soup from the kitchen. The soup that tastes better than any fancy restaurant food. You have a lunch with mom and your siblings. You then go to your room and play with toys. They are old and simple, some have missing parts, but the games you played are thousands times more exciting than any today’s PC game or movie. It’s evening. The Sun is setting down. You go out once again to play with your friends and then you see dad coming down the street. He is carrying some bags and you know for sure there’s some treats in there. Crisps or maybe ice cream. Sometimes even soda. Or just fast-cooked noodles. But still because you had so little of them, you treasure every single bite. You go home together. Parents are watching some movies after dinner. And you and your siblings are sitting as still as possible for parents not to notice that you are still there with them. But then the movie’s over. You go to your bed. Mom and dad say good night. Sometimes they might even read a book for you. And then a kiss and a hug. Without any passion, but not a single soul in the world will ever kiss you with more love or hug you with more affection. This. This is what I miss now that I am sitting all alone in apartment of my own. I am pretty successful for a guy of my age. I study in MSU, have two jobs and a girlfriend, lots of friends and sometimes I even get to see my family. Still it’s just not the same anymore. And the only thing that helps me is a late night moto ride. But I would give up everything I have now to once again get back in the small town, this one-room apartment where we lived as a family of five, taste of that soup, sense of that touch, that unconditional parents love
